Good Shepherd
Housing Foundation in partnership with the Prince William County
Community Services Board has submitted a grant to the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development to partially fund a program
to provide permanent supportive housing for 7 to 8 persons with mental
health disabilities and developmental disorders.
If housing is difficult for working poor families you
can image what it must be like for persons with mental health
disabilities. This program will fill a high priority need in our
Prince William Community.
The Shepherd Homes Leasing Program will provide
permanent, affordable, supported housing in scattered site leased
apartments. Participants will pay 30% of their income for rent.
A full range of supportive services will be provided by the Prince
William County Community Services Board. Funding announcements
will be made some time in December 2006. |
