Dear Friends of Good Shepherd Housing Foundation, Good Shepherd Housing Foundation announces the Holiday Matching Gift Campaign for 2024. Following generous gifts from our donors in past matching campaigns, we are planning to continue this year in support of our Strategic Plan objectives. This year in support of the Prince William County Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, we introduced a second HCV home supporting our Mission to provide affordable housing for individuals struggling with mental illness and families with extremely low to limited income. This campaign will help us toward providing a third home for another family in the HCV program in the future. In October, we held our inaugural “Make Home Possible” Golf Tournament, and we plan to hold it again in October 2025. Fundraising events like our golf outing, individual donations, state and private grants are all funding means that not only allow Good Shepherd to maintain the…

Join us on this journey to improve a life Have you wondered why some individuals and families are homeless? One of the major reasons is insufficient income and/or mental illness which can significantly impact loss of housing. What can be done to help? Good Shepherd Housing Foundation is expanding their efforts to help a wider range of adults and children in need of housing. By bridging the gap in affordable housing and providing more housing opportunities within the PWC community and giving us ownership without restrictions, GSHF is taking steps toward a brighter future for all. Additionally, by continuing to support low-income families while accessing new funding sources, GSHF assures the long- term sustainability of their efforts. We can provide a secure and well-maintained home in the community, with your support, by removing HUD restrictions on five properties and offering these homes to the PWC Housing Choice Voucher Program. With…

To Our GSHF families and friends. In the purest sense of Christmas, a donor has provided GSHF with a $6,000 Matching Fund Challenge. He will match all donations from November 15 thru the end of December 2021. We ask that you send Good Shepherd a donation, which will be doubled by this gift, no matter how big or small, to help us continue our mission. Every extra dollar enhances our mission to provide permanent housing for families and single men and women who, in the past, often called a car, the streets or a hospital their home. Many struggles with mental illness and feel isolated and alone in their difficulties. It is important that they are included in the well- being of a community. Good Shepherd can provide housing and mental health services to enhance that opportunity. A permanent home can mean some can find and keep a job, others…
